A 75-year-old man presents to the medical take with a 3-month history of thoracic back pain. Over the last week, he had been having episodes of sweats and shivers, particularly at night.

He was admitted and blood tests were taken.

MRI showed a discitis at thoracic disks 8/9.
ECHO: No vegetation seen
