You are requested to evaluate a 49-year-old female patient in the Cardiology Clinic who has a history of hypertension, diet-controlled diabetes, well-managed atrial fibrillation (AF) with two unsuccessful cardioversions, and a ventricular rate of 75 bpm. A recent echocardiogram (ECHO) indicates a structurally normal heart. The patient is concerned about the possibility of a stroke. There is no other significant medical history.
